The more he tinkered with new cameras and editing software, the more Rayan's love for filmmaking grew. During the pandemic, the world became confused, agitated, and, most importantly, isolated. In this distressing time, Rayan felt the need to express how he was feeling more than ever. So he took his car, camera, and computer to create something that would express what he felt on the inside to the outside world. Rayan's film, “Freedom,” later won the local high school film competition. 

"Welcome to Cryptic!" is a continuation of the short video series brought together by Rayan and his robotics team, Cryptic #20123. While working as an intern for RELI Group Inc, Rayan would frequently find himself working with the IT and cybersecurity departments. Learning from the professionals helped broaden his view of the potential dangers of technology in the modern world. After interviewing cyber professionals, Rayan created a mini-documentary and presentation explaining the vulnerabilities in a network. Today, this video is used for onboarding and training cyber personnel.

As much as Rayan enjoys making videos for his own enjoyment, he finds it even more worthwhile when his projects are used for helping others. While in his calculus class, Rayan would hear his peers struggling with the complex concepts involved in the course. At the time, he was also taking calculus-based physics, which often included a common problem involving a car to show the mathematical and physical properties of the real world. Inspired by this, Rayan decided to create his own car problem to directly show how these concepts apply in a real scenario. The Howard County Library System uses this video and the other math videos Rayan made to teach their students during tutoring sessions. 

After the successful first year of the Leaders of Economics and Finance in America (LEFA), a finance club founded by Rayan and his school peers, Rayan created another promotional video to get their club up and running for the 2021 school year. In all the promotional videos he makes for LEFA, Rayan strives to attain a humorous yet intriguing feel to the club's content and opportunities. 

During the peak of the pandemic, Rayan and millions of other students were stuck at home and unable to interact with their peers in person. With the added technical difficulty and inability to present in person, presentations were much more difficult to make engaging. To combat this, Rayan took every opportunity he could to create a comedic yet interesting presentation via videos. While creating videos through online meeting platforms was difficult, it was a good opportunity to test Rayan's versatility in film for practical use.
