Since his time as an intern for a variety of tech companies, Rayan searched for learning opportunities from the mailroom to the cubicle to the conference hall. With his experience in the government, commercial, and nonprofit sectors, Rayan is eager to expand his breadth– incorporating both service and product models in his future career.

Position: Business Coordinator/Consultant
As one of the initial employees of RYE Tech, Rayan engaged in company governance by personally handling Small Business Administration (SBA) certification, System for Award Management (SAM) updating, the company website maintenance, and marketing their capabilities. Currently, he is working on acquiring a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification.

Position: Business Development Manager
While Med2Lab onboarded Rayan as an intern to conduct literature reviews and find clients, he soon became the business development lead and now oversees fundraising, contracts, and pilots with other companies. Rayan helped automate their accounting systems using QuickBooks, applied to startup grants, presented to investors, and devised the B2B model they currently use. Today, he works with the CEO, Dr. Bao Truong, to expand the company's pipeline around the US and southeast Asia.

We will provide any student, regardless of background, the opportunities to pursue STEM and acquire valuable experiences for their prospective futures."
Rayan is the founder and president of Centennial Robotics Inc, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, the competitive arm of which competes in robotics tournaments. The outreach arm runs educational programs at local community institutions to teach STEM skills to younger students: basics of programming, the engineering design process, robotics, and more. After the obstacles instated from the school board, Rayan realized that it was best to take matters into our own hands to control our operations, and he started formulating a plan. For the entirety of the following summer, Rayan organized all the logistics– meeting professionals, writing bylaws, and managing finances– to create a successful nonprofit to sponsor their robotics teams and support his mission. Rayan met with companies like the Maryland Space Business Roundtable, which had an emphasis on STEM education and advancement for sponsorships. He ventured into new forms of raising capital from writing letters of inquiry to grants and creating campaigns on crowdfunding platforms. After taking an accounting class at Stanford University over the summer, Rayan became particularly astute in creating financial reports, projections, and semi-automated accounting controls to organize his teams' assets.
Centennial Robotics, Inc.
Position: Project Coordinator
Rayan worked with attorneys to write bylaws and address mission statements. Alongside marketing teams, Rayan created promotional graphics and the logo. With an outsourced vendor, Rayan helped create the website and personally managed social platforms. During the holiday season, Rayan coordinated with elementary schools in Frisco, Texas to provide gift cards, food, and clothing to young students.
